摘　　要：铁路是国民经济的动脉,它直接影响着一个国家、一个地区经济发展的速度和人民生活水平的提高。在近现代世界史册中,铁路象征着社会的进步,铁路里程的增加也象征着历史的进程。中原铁路兴建、经营中的成败得失,给我们提供了诸多有益的启迪。Railways are the arteries of the national economy and influences the speed of a country＇s or a region＇ s economic development and people＇s living standards. In the modern world history, the railway symbolizes social progress and its mileage is also a symbol of the historical process. The success and failure in the con- struction and management of the Railway of Central Plains have provided us with many helpful suggestions.
