摘　　要：针对读者对信息的需求,传统图书馆面临新世纪的挑战,提出高校图书馆电子阅览室通过计算机、通讯、网络设备等为读者及时、广泛、准确地传递电子文献,为教学和科研提供优质服务,从而发挥为高校师生提供全方位、多层次、多载体的文献信息服务功能。This paper focuses on the information needs of readers,and the traditional libraries are being faced with the challenges of the new century,discusses the role of the electronic reading room and its scientific management.The electronic reading room provides a wide range,accurate deliveiy of electronic documents by computer,communication,network equipment in a timely manner,to provide high quality services for teaching and research,and to play an important role for college teachers and students in providing comprehensive,multi - level,multi - carrier functions of literature information services.
