摘  要:由于父母工作需要,一些中国孩子随父母在美国生活、学习。这些孩子中的一部分回国要插班就读。其中大部分孩子处于语言发展关键期,英文有可能取代中文成为他们的优势语言。这会给他们回国继续学习造成困难。本文分析了这些孩子在美国学习中文的优势、劣势;结合作者自己的教学经验,提供给中文教师一些教学策略和方法;并论及家庭环境在孩子中文学习方面的影响,以及应避免的误区。Because of the work requirements of parents, many Chinese children accompany their parents to the U. S to live and study. Some of these students will return to China in the middle of their studies. Majority of these children are in the critical language development acquisition period, English could probably replace Chinese as the dominate language. This will create some problems when they return to their home country to continue their study. This article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these children's Chinese study in the United States. Based on the author' s own experience, several Chinese teachers' teaching methods are presented. Also described in the article are the influence of the family environment on the children' s study of Chinese language and some of the misunderstandings that can be a- voided in the secondary education level.
