Critical Success Factors in the Master Dual Degree Program at UPAEP University and Oklahoma State University

摘　　要：Master＇s dual degrees programs offer students not only academic instruction, but also cross-cultural immersion. Students enrolled in a master＇s dual degree can acquire two master＇s degrees in the same time frame as only one master＇s program. Students enrolled in a master＇s dual degree program are required to meet the curriculum requirements of two （different or equal） degrees in two different institutions, and also, in some cases, to study in two different languages and countries. International master＇s dual degree programs have some common constraints, such as conflicting semester start and end dates, joint supervision of research projects, and timing work through various levels of approve. Students are held to class availability as offered by both institutions. In addition, some core courses must be taken in order to complete both programs. The most important obstacles or CSFs （critical success factors） are the admission processes in institutions （in this case, UPAEP University （Universidad Popular Aut6noma del Estado de Puebla） and OSU （Oklahoma State University））, language barriers, and immigration laws. The purpose of this study was to determine and assess the CSFs in the master＇s dual degree programs at UPAEP and OSU. This study shows that the CSFs in motivations are getting two degrees in two years in two different countries and the challenge was to cover the visa requirements.
