摘　　要：加强高校学生的人文教育,提高高校学生的人文素养,是我国现代化建设的迫切需要,是塑造民族精神、振兴中华民族优秀文化的需要,更是构建和谐社会的需要。然而在大学人文精神日趋衰微的今天,历史教育应该重新确立其价值理性或者说人文素质教育的地位。目前的高等院校历史专业开设的《世界文化史》课程,为建构大学人文精神,培养强烈人文气质,提供了一条可以尝试的途径。It is an urgent requirement for the modernization in China to improve the hu- manistic edueation in universities. High humanistic quality is needed in shaping the national spirit and revitalizing the Chinese culture as well as constructing a harmonious society. Consid- ering the inadequate humanistic spirit in school, the history education should rebuild the status of humanistic education with its value rationality. The course of ＂History of World Culture＂ is a feasible approach for the higher education to promote the humanistic spirit.
