摘　　要：在1870—1949年不到一百年的时间里,黄石港、石灰窑、铁山、下陆四大城区凭借发展以矿冶业为主体的重工业带来的契机,开始了商业化、工业化、城镇化的进程,形成了重工业基地,为日后的城市化打下了坚实的基础。In less than 100 years from 1870 to 1949, with the opportunity of developing the mining and met- allurgical industry, Huangshigang, Shihuiyao, Tieshan, Xialu four urban areas started the process of com- mercialization, industrialization, and urbanization, which has formed a heavy industrial base, and has laid a solid foundation for future urbanization.
