摘　　要：图书馆是人类文明的传播者和继承者。在社会记忆研究浪潮的推动下,图书馆逐步显现出其在发挥社会记忆功能方面的责任和不可替代的作用。社会记忆对国家和社会文化的传承均具有重要意义。"三个世界"理论为图书馆发挥社会记忆功能提供了理论基础通过内容策划、资源搜集、建库保存和发布传播等方法,图书馆能够充分发挥其社会记忆功能。The library acts as the disseminator and the successor of human civilization.Under the impetus of the wave of social memory researches, the library gradually shows the responsibility and the irreplaceable role in the aspect of playing social memory function. The social memory has the important significance in the inheritance of nation and social culture.＂ Theory of Three Worlds＂ has provided the theory foundation for the library to play the function of social memory. The library could play the function of social memory fully through the content planning, the resource collection, the database building, the preserving and broadcasting.
