摘　　要：洋务运动是中国近代史上一次著名的改革运动,是世界近代化运动的组成部分,对于中国近代史的发展具有重要影响。在洋务运动过程中,以奕訢、李鸿章、曾国藩等为代表的封建官僚主义兴建大批军用、民用企业,派遣留学生,促进了中国近代资本主义的发展。尽管洋务运动失败了,但是其历史意义值得肯定。本文主要介绍了洋务发生的原因以及洋务运动中主要存在的矛盾,并且对洋务运动的阶级性质进行了分析。Westernization movement is the famous reform movement in modem Chinese history, a part of the world mod- ernization movement, which has an important influence for the development of China＇s modem history. In the process of westernization movement, as YI xin, LI Hongzhang, ZENG Guofan as the representatives of the feudal bureaucracy, build large numbers of military. Civilian enterprises and overseas students promote the development of the modem Chinese capitalism. In spite the westernization movement failed, its historical significance is worthwhile. In this paper introduce westemization＇s causes, the main contradiction in the westernization movement, and the class-character of the westerni- zation movement is analyzed.
