有效折射率法分析复合结构波导的传输特性

摘  要:针对具有多层介质和多导体的复合结构波导传输特性的复杂性,采用有效折射率法分析了波导传输特性与几何尺寸之间的关系.数值分析了一种具有复合结构的铌酸锂电光式调节器的传输特性,给出了其有效折射率随几何参数的变化规律.通过与实验结果的比照,验证了有效折射率法分析复合结构波导传输特性的有效性和正确性.有效折射率方法是一种解析近似法,比严格的解析方法简单易行,可用于分析横截面尺寸远小于微波波长的各种波导的性质.Regarding to the complexity of transmission characteristics of composite structures waveguides with multilayer dielectric and multi-conductor, Effective refraction index method is given to analyze the relationship be- tween transmission characteristics of waveguides and waveguides' geometric dimension. The transmission characteristics of a Lithium Niobate electrooptic modulator with composite stuctures is analyzed numerically, and the laws of effective refraction index with the variation of geometric parameters are proved accordingly. Through comparing with experimental results, the effectiveness and correctness of effective refraction index method to analyze transmission characteristics of composite structures waveguides are verified. As an analytic approximation simpler and easier than the exact analytical method, effective refraction index method can be used to analyze waveguides characteristics with the cross-sectional dimensions much smaller than the microwave wavelength.
