摘　　要：从图书馆多元文化服务的馆藏发展、必要性、评价、设计与提供、信息搜索行为和多元文化馆员发展6个方面对国外的研究进行梳理,提出制定适合国情的多元文化服务指导方针,指出加强多元文化服务对象的区分、明确多元文化服务价值理念、加强开展少数民族地区多元文化服务是国内研究的发展方向和重点。This paper summaries the collection development, necessity, evaluation, design and provision of multicultural services, information searching behavior and librarian development of libraries at abroad. Then it puts forward the development direction and the focal point of research, which include developing muhicuhural service guidelines suited to China＇s condition, making the distinction between muhicuhural service objects, clearing muhicuhural service valueconcept and strengthening multicuhural services in ethnic minority areas.
