摘　　要：文章简要介绍了Servlet和JDBC的技术原理,分析了Applet实现的二层Client／Server结构的Web环境下数据库访问技术的局限性,并由此讨论引入三层Client／Server结构加以解决,最后给出了基于Servlet和JDBC技术的分布式异构数据库Web访问技术的实现模型.This paper first introduces the technical elements of Servlet and JDBC.Secondly,it discusses the adoption of 3－tier Client／Server model to resolve the limitation of 2－tier Client／Server model database accessing method implemented by Applet.Finally an implementation model of accessing distributed heterogeneous database from Web based on Servlet and JDBC Technology is given．
