摘　　要：从现阶段的中国来看,社会可持续发展已成为重要发展的理念与发展基本要求,而政治可持续发展则是社会可持续发展的前提。唯有实现政治可持续发展,方可为社会整体可持续发展保驾护航。政治民主化作为政治可持续发展的内在灵魂和基本原则,其内容的有效实施,为政治可持续发展打造了坚实的基础。政治民主化对政治可持续发展的意义在于:从根本上遏制公权私用的现象;促进社会的整合;增强公民的主人翁意识;提升中国的国际形象,奠定中国在国际社会的政治地位。As far as the status quo of China is concerned,the sustainable development of society has turned out to be a critical principle of development as well as a foundamental requirement of development,and the sustainable political development proves to be the prerequisite of the sustainable development of society.Accordingly,only the realization of sustainable political development can help achieve the sustainable development of the society as a whole.The political democratization,as the soul and basic principle of the sustainable political development,can lay a solid foundation for the sustainable political development if what it is designed to accomplish can be put into effect.It means significantly a lot to the political sustainable development：it can help curb the use of public power for personal purposes,promote the integration of social resources,improve people′s awareness of being the master of our country,and upgrade the international image of China with the aim of establishing China′s political status in the whole world.
