摘　　要：全面介绍了UTRAN(UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network)的相关内容,包括了UTRAN体系结构、功能描述、移动性管理以及UTRAN接口协议的描述。其中,在UTRAN的体系结构的基础上重点研究了接口协议,包括协议模型中层和平面的划分,各平面内部协议栈中主要协议的功能和互联机制以及各个协议的特点,同时对每个接口中协议的使用进行了详细的研究。此外,功能和移动性管理中对用户数据的和信令在核心网(CN)与用户设备(UE)之间的传输也做了说明。Describe the overall architecture of the UTRAN （UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network）, including UTRAN basic structure, functions description, mobility management and interface protocol. Based on UTRAN basic structure, focus on the research about interface protocol, which includes the partition about layers, planes, inner main protocols functions and interconnection mechanism and characteris- tics, the using of protocols in every interface is investigated in detail at the same time. Moreover, user data transporting between core net- work and user equipment has interpreted.
