英文报刊参与英语教育推动中国的“NIE工程”——以21stCentury为例

摘　　要："NIE工程"即"报纸参与教育"发端于美国,目前很多欧美国家正在开展此项工程。介绍了"NIE工程"的世界现状和中国现状,以"NIE工程"在中国的成功典范——21st Century为例介绍了推动中国"NIE工程"发展的有效措施,并以21st Century具体内容为例说明英文报纸参与英语教育的诸多利处。教育者应该充分开发和利用英文报刊的潜在素养教育价值,报界也应该有效拓展其教育功能。NIE （Newspaper in Education） originated from the US, and many countries in Eu- rope and America are practicing it nowadays. This paper introduces the current situation of NIE in China and even in the world and simultaneously, introduces some effective measures to promote NIE in China, taking 21st Century as a successful example. In the meantime the paper shows many advantages of Newspaper in English on the basis of the concrete materials in 21st Century. Therefore, educators should make good use of potential quality-oriented education value of newspapers, and journalists in China should also widen the educational function of newspapers.
