摘　　要：党的十六大以来,苏州把率先全面建成小康社会、率先基本实现现代化作为建设中国特色社会主义的重大历史任务。苏州是我国最发达的地区之一,是江苏发展的"重中之重",苏州近十年的发展变化,就是全国发展的一个生动缩影;苏州的"两个率先",就是建设中国特色社会主义的创新实践,并在实践中形成了坚定不移地贯彻落实科学发展观、牢牢把握战略重点的经验。Since the 16th National Congress of the CPC, Suzhou has taken the lead in building a well-off society in an all-round way and realizing the basic modernization, which is regarded as a major historic task of building so- cialism with Chinese characteristics. Suzhou is one of the most developed areas in China, and is ＂the most impor- tant＂ of developments of Jiangsu. The developments and changes in Suzhou over the recent ten years are a vivid miniature of national development. Suzhou＇ s ＂double leads＂ are the innovation practice of the construction of so- cialism with Chinese characteristics, the unswerving implementation of the seientific concept of development in practice and the firm grasp of the experience in the strategic focus.
