Objective To evaluate the effect of minimally invasive countersunk draining in treating spontaneous hemorrhage in the deep cerebra. Methods A total of 58 eases of spontaneous hemorrhage in the deep cerebra were divided into two groups: treatment group (28 cases) and control group (30 cases). All cases were treated by routine combined therapy. In the treatment group, minimally invasive countersunk draining was also applied. The curative effect of hematoma drainage and neurological impairment were compared between two groups. Results The time of hematoma drainage and neurological improvement in treatment group was shorten than those of control group (P 〈0.05). Effective rate of neurological impairment improvement in treatment group was 89.3%, which was higher than that of control group (63. 3% ) (P 〈 0. 05 ). Conclusion Minimally invasive countersunk draining has the advantage of quick hermtoma clearing, less secondary damage, and the neural ftmctions protection. It can obviously raise the curative effect, shorten the length of stay and improve the neural function for the patients with spontaneous hemerrhage in the deep cerebra.
