摘　　要：身处后殖民运动的语境之中,不少学者从非洲土著的身体异化入手,将《黑暗的心》的殖民情结挖掘到了淋漓尽致的程度,这其实是一种情理之中的误读。由于对小说细节的忽略,学界习惯于抽象地给康拉德加上殖民主义者的名号。本文旨在廓清,通过各种艺术手段,康拉德不但对土著的身体进行了去人类化描写,还对白人的身体进行了同样的处理。对土著的去人类化描写,几乎都发生在白人征服土著的场景中,可见,康拉德借此表达他对非洲贸易的态度。通过对细节的关注可以发现,用"殖民主义"的标签分析身体异化并不妥当,"进步"话语才是导致身体异化的真实动因。《黑暗的心》暗示的文化命题,是对"进步"话语的焦虑。Due to various forms of neglects of details, Heart of Darkness has been widely regarded as Conrad＇ outpost of colonialism. It is worth noting that the dehumanized narration in the novel can not only be found in the Congo natives, but also in the white managers ; and the appropriations of the native＇ s dehumanization are highly situated in the context of the conquering from the white. Such details from the text suggest that the label of colonialism would not function in a satisfactory way when it occurs to critique on the alienation of the body. Returning to the textual details again, it is reasonable to conclude that the disembodiment of the body in the novel is caused by the discourse of ＂progress. ＂
