摘　　要：《海上扁舟》是美国自然主义文学先驱斯蒂芬克莱恩的代表作之一,淋漓尽致地体现了美国自然主义文学的特征。本文通过对环境描写、心理描写以及重复叙事手法的分析,从自然的强大冷漠、人类的无奈渺小、道德对人的命运的否定作用等方面对《海上扁舟》中所呈现的自然主义特征进行了全面的阐释。Stephen Crane is one of the pioneers of American Naturalistic Literature and The Open Boat is one of his masterpieces. Through the analysis of the environmental, psychological description and repetition narrative in The Open Boat, the paper discusses embodiment of the characteristics of Naturalism in the novel： the mightiness and indifference of the Sea, the insignificance and helplessness of the human and the negative influence of immortality on the fates of the human
