摘　　要：《人生如此》是19世纪晚期澳大利亚著名作家约瑟夫·弗菲的代表作。约瑟夫·弗菲是澳大利亚文坛上一位独具特色的民族主义作家。他的作品《人生如此》，无论在内容还是形式上，都颠覆了当时流行的殖民地小说和现实主义小说范式，解构了传统的叙事方式。其叙述者的不可靠性、叙事结构、叙事模式和非叙事性离题等，超越了既有的英国小说传统，具有现代主义小说的特色。Such Is Life is the masterpiece of Joseph Furphy, the famous Australian writer in the 1890s. Furphy is a unique national writer in the Australian literature. His work Such Is Life overthrows the paradigms of the then popular colonial novels and realistic novels both in the content and the form. In the narrator＇s unreliability, structure, its narrative pattern, and non-narrative digression, the novel surpasses the tradition of the 18-century British novels, which makes the novel possess some character of modern novels.
