摘　　要：澳大利亚作家亨利·劳森的作品，实际上交错着成熟的现实主义传统和现代派艺术手法的雏形。其短篇小说代表作《赶牲畜人的妻子》中，通过细节描写展现典型环境下典型人物的现实主义特征和情节淡化、类意识流及象征手法等现代技巧的运用，说明他为澳大利亚文学从现实主义向现代手法过渡做出了有益尝试。The Australian writer Henry Lawson actually adopts both mature realistic tradition and the early forms of modernist writing skills in his works. And his masterpiece The Drover＇s Wife reflects both realistic characteristics like detailed description, typical environment and characters and modernist techniques like the weakening of plots, the early form of stream of consciousness and symbolic skills.
