摘　　要：简要回顾了Firth等人对评价理论所作的奠基性贡献,着重阐述了Martin等人评价理论的发展过程和最新修订情况,以及国内学者对评价理论的介绍和研究现状,最后对评价理论进行反思,为评价理论今后研究的可能走向提出了参考性建议。This paper first reviews Firth et al.＇s fundamental contributions to the appraisal theory, then troduces its development and latest revisions, and its introduction and research by the domestic linguists well, and finally reflects on the theory in a hope to offer some suggestions for future development.
