摘　　要：优化高等教育学科专业结构,使高等教育更好地满足经济社会发展对人才多样化的需求,是落实科学发展观,提高教育质量、形成办学特色、培养创新人才的重要基础,也是世界高等教育改革发展的趋势之一。本文以湖北省为例,分析总结了其开展高等教育学科专业结构调整优化的探索和尝试,并就优化学科专业结构过程中政府和学校作用,提出了自己的思考和建议。The optimization of discipline and specialty structure, which makes higher education better satisfy the diversified needs of the economic and social development for talents, is the important foundation for applying the sci- entific outlook on development, improving education quality, forming school-running features and cultivating innova- tive talents as well as being a trend of higher education reform and development in the world. Taking Hubei Province as an example, this paper analyzes its exploration of and attempt at carrying out the adjustment and optimization of discipline and specialty structure in higher education, and puts forward some suggestions for the role in which the government and universities play during the process.
