摘　　要：亨利·詹姆斯的《一位女士的画像》讲述的是主人公伊莎贝尔在跨文化背景下从天真无知到成熟自省的成长蜕变,而其表兄拉尔夫·杜歇在其成长道路上扮演了引路人的角色。在应对文化冲突之下的人际交往问题、物质文化与精神文明的冲突和对独立自由的追求三个方面,拉尔夫都对伊莎贝尔成长产生了巨大影响,最终使她得以褪去天真,走向成熟,使其真正领会欧美文化的融合。The Portrait of a Lady written by Henry James tells about the growth of Isabel from in- nocence to maturity, and her cousin Ralph has played a significant role as the initiation guide of her de- velopment under an intercultural background. Ralph greatly influences Isabel when she confronts cultur- al conflicts such as interpersonal relationship problems, the conflict between cultural and material civili- zation as well as her pursuit of independence and freedom so that Isabel can finally become mature and wise, truly understanding the meaning of cultural integration.
