京师大学堂分科监督:我国大学院长角色的萌芽

摘　　要：京师大学堂"远采德国,近法日本"的学术分科制度,并在此基础上设立分科监督角色,这是我国大学院长角色的雏形。分科大学监督处于大学堂组织的中层,具有官师合一、官僚性和专业性兼具的特点;作为大学堂的管理者,分科大学监督与大学堂总监督之间的关系既具有封建等级性,又具有近代民主性趋向。The Imperial University of Peking followed the example of Germany and Japanese uni- versities dean of faculty. It was the primary prototype of the academic dean of Chinese universities. The deans of faculty were middle-level manangers of the Imperial University,having dual characteris- tics of the bureaucracy and profession. The relationship between the deans and the principal both had features of feudal hierarchy and democracy tend.
