摘　　要：素有"平民元首"美称的林森非常注重清廉自律、以身作则,在衣食住行方面始终刻苦自励,过着克勤克俭、清心寡欲的平民化简朴生活;但在"节约献金"、慰劳抗日将士、扶持教育等活动中则慷慨捐资捐物。林森十分重视政风建设,把"国利民福"作为从政的宗旨,将"为人民服务"、"清正廉洁"视为当官的本分,要求官员保持一份宁静恬淡之心,不谋私利;当好公仆,关心民众疾苦,维护民众利益,并谆谆告诫属下和亲族要作勤政廉政的表率。尽管林森也难以遏制国民党内部的奢侈腐败现象,但他俭以养德、清正廉洁的思想情操依然赢得世人的赞颂。Lin Sen, known as the laudatory name of ＂civilian head of state＂, attached great importance to in- corruptness and self-dicipline. In the basic necessities, being hardworking and thrifty, Lin Sen always led a ascetic simple civilian life. Whereas, on the occasion of bringing gifts and greetings to the anti-japanese officers and solid- ers or supporting education and other activities, he always made generous donors. Lin Sen paid attention to the work style of the government, regarding ＂National Interest and People＇s Welfare＂ as the tenet of politics and considering ＂ Serving the People＂ , ＂Being Honest and Upright＂ as the duty of an officer. He ordered all officials to keep a quiet indifferent heart, to be unselfish, to be a good public servant, to be concerned about people＇s sufferings, to main- tain the public interests, and at the same time he warned earnestly his subordinates and relatives to be an honest and industrious government model. Although it was difficult for him to curb the luxury and corruption in Kuomintang, he still won the world praise by honest and upright sentiment.
