摘　　要：礼貌,作为一种社会行为规范,在人们的日常交际中发挥着重要的作用。在有关礼貌原则的研究中,大多数学者主要停留在对其概念的援引、应用和验证上。本文将详细介绍礼貌原则的产生及其发展,简要探讨Leech的礼貌原则所存在的不足,并根据礼貌原则在实际生活中的应用来说明礼貌的存在具有相对性。Politeness, as a social behavior norm, plays a pivotal role in people＇s daily comnmnieation. In politeness-related re- searches, most scholars mainly linger over the reference, applica- tion and validation of its definilion. This paper makes a detailed introduction to the emergence and development of politeness principle, briefly explores the shortcomings of Leeeh＇s politeness principle, and inlerprets lhe relativity of politeness in aeeordanee with the application of politeness prineiple in practical life.
