摘　　要：In 2006, Norbu Gyaltsen and Wang Yong jointly wrote an article putting forward a proposition for a model of environmental protection and sustainable development of animal husbandry on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Later, this solution was included in the 11th and 12th Five-Year Development Plan of the Southwest University for Nationalities and was officially launched in 2007. Now, five years later, the Institute for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has been established and has collected some initial results.
