摘　　要：戈登·伍德是20世纪60年代末以来美国政治史研究中的一个代表性人物,在社会史和文化史交替引领美国史学潮流并不断压缩政治史的空间的学术语境中,他的史学理念和研究实践体现了一种维护和振兴政治史的艰苦努力。他在美国早期史领域的研究成果,进一步拓展了政治史研究的政治文化路径,推动了解释美国革命的新范式的形成。他一方面从新社会史、新文化史和后现代主义史学中吸取灵感,另一方面则坚持捍卫爱德华·卡尔意义上的现代史学,这在一定程度上反映了美国史学当前面临的问题和挑战。Gordon S. Wood has been one of the key figures in 1960s. In an academic context that has featured the decline of the leading roles played by social history and cultural history in turn, practice history. American political history since the late once flourishing political history and the Wood＇s idea of history and his scholarly represent the strenuous efforts of American historians to defend and promote the studies of political His achievements as an early American political historian contribute greatly to expanding the political culture approach in the studies of American political history, and to shaping a new paradigm of interpreting the American Revolution. He never hesitates to draw inspirations from social and cultural history and even the so called post-modern historiography while insisting on defending an Edward Carlian type of modern historiography, thus reflecting to a certain degree the problems and challenges of the discipline of history in the United States today.
