A Research on the Qiantang Jiaoyuan Poetry Club during Early Qing Dynasty

摘　　要：蕉园诗社是清初钱塘著名的闺秀诗社,有较大影响,但因文献缺失,今人颇多误解。文章结合人物生卒年和活动情况,对蕉园七子、蕉园五子(陈说)等称谓进行细致考证,认为她们均不可能同时在一起唱和,七子、五子只是后人的概称;蕉园诗社前后延续近四十年,参与人员众多,约有十六人先后参加诗社活动。活动内容丰富,有宴集、送别、哀挽等,留下许多作品。文章对这些活动一一进行了细致的梳理。As a reputed women＇s poetry club, Jiaoyuan Club was influential in Qiantang during early Qing Dynasty. Unfortunately, due to the inadequacy of literature, this poetry club has long been misunderstood by the scholars today. This paper examines in details the addressing terms of ＂the seven young ladies of Jiaoyuan＂ and ＂the five young ladies of Jiaoyuan＂ based on the research of the life stories of the ladies involved. The author finds out that it was barely possible for the seven or five young ladies to compose and chant in chorus based on the finding that whatever they are, seven or five are merely a generic reference. In addition, the Jioayuan Poetry Club has a history of about 40 years, during which time approximately sixteen young ladies attended the literary activities organized, namely, feasting, farewell parties and mourning, generating abundant literary works.
