摘 要:为了适应全彩LED驱动芯片的需要,采用CSMC 0.5μm标准工艺,设计了一种用于LED驱动芯片的新型CMOS环形振荡器。电路使用正负温度特性补偿、延时迟滞以及时钟同步技术。在电源电压为3~6V、温度范围为-45℃~100℃,以及不同的工艺角下,利用Cadence平台下的Spectre进行验证,结果表明:在一定的电压、温度范围内,振荡器的输出频率为16MHz,最大变化范围为±5%;在不同工艺角模型下,振荡器输出频率均在LED驱动芯片的解码允许误差范围之内。该振荡器已成功应用于一款LED驱动芯片。A novel ring oscillator was designed for full-color LED driver IC using CSMC's 0. 5 μm standard CMOS process. In this circuit, temperature compensation, delay hysteresis and clock synchronization were used. The circuit was verified with Spectre of Cadence at 3-6 V supply voltage in the temperature range from -45 ℃ to 100 ℃ for different process corners. Simulation results showed that, in certain voltage and temperature ranges, the oscillator had an output frequency of 16 MHz with a maximum variation range of + 5%, which was in the error range of decoder in LED driver IC for different process comers. The ring oscillator was applied to an LED driver chip.
