摘  要:HFT活断层规模大,断层带宽达300~500 m,对本水电站工程有重大影响,尤其对引水隧洞、沉沙池等部位的地下洞室稳定性有直接影响。若运行期遭遇地震,隧洞穿过HFT段可能存在抗断问题,因此查明HFT断裂带穿过隧洞段的规模及性状特征意义重大。通过综合运用地面测绘、物探及钻探等方法,初步确定了HFT活断层产状、规模及性状特征,对工程决策具有重大意义。Himalayan Frontal Thrust (HFT) is a large-scale active fault with the width ot faulted zone ranging trom 3uu meters to 500meters, which is considered to be mostly responsible for a M7.6 earthquake in 2005. Since the HFF inevitably crosses the headrace tunnel route, it would significantly impacts on the Kohala hydropower project, especially the stability of the headrace tunnel and desihing basin. If earthquake happens during the operation of project,the tunnel lining will be damaged by potential tectonic displacement of the thrust. So it is critical to identify the scale and characteristics of HFF crossing the headrace tunnel, which are discussed in this paper combined with methods, geological mapping, geophysical prospecting and drilling for example, it is of great significance for engineering decision-making.
