摘　　要：美国华裔流散者因其自身独特的文化背景,既无法孤立地拒绝同化,成为与美国社会隔绝的中国人,也无法真正地亲近美国社会,成为与之相融的美国人。因此,他/她们必须主动地转换这一尴尬的认同处境,勇敢地跨越中美文化边界,积极缔造一种崭新的、独特的、混杂的自我空间,创造出一个属于自己的新家园,并藉此来安放自己的心灵。The Chinese American writers in a diasporic sense possess the two different cultural elements, they can neither remain as true Chinese isolated from the American society, nor can they actually blend into it. As a resuh, they must take actions to shift the embarrassing identity status, bravely crossing the borders of Chinese and American cultures, actively creating a new, unique and hy- brid space to construct a new home in which they can place their souls.
