摘　　要：西部大开发是继东部沿海开放后国家实施的又一个重大区域政策,优先发展教育成为西部开发中的重点。该文对比分析了西部大开发前后教育发展水平的变化,在此基础上,采用模型实证研究方法对教育政策促进经济增长的效应进行了评价,并根据评价结果提出了相应地进一步提升西部教育发展水平的对策与建议。The western development strategy is another major national policy after the opening-up of the east- era coast. And giving education the priority has already become the focus of the western development. The article analyzes the educational changes before and after the western development. On the basis of comparative analysis, the article evaluates the effects of economic growth on education policies by establishing the model for the empirical study and puts forward the relevant proposals.
