摘　　要：在切斯特·海姆斯的小说《孤独的征战》中,男性气概是贯穿其始终的一个重要主题。对于大多数男权社会推崇的"支配性男性气概"模式,该作保持了相当的批判距离,体现出相当的文化反思性。在该作中,正是由于对"支配性男性气概"模式的认同,主人公李·戈登对妻子鲁斯缺乏基本的尊重与关爱,把她当成压制和征服的对象,结果让他的婚姻和事业陷入困境,让他始终生活在恐惧、空虚和孤独之中。本文以康奈尔的"三重性别结构模型"为参照,分别从权力关系、劳动性别分工和性关系三个层面探究主人公戈登所认同的支配性男性气概模式背后的文化与社会根源,揭示父权思想与社会性别角色观念在戈登男性气概的认知与实践过程中的误导和危害。Manhood is a dominant theme in Chester Himes′s novel Lonely Crusade.The novel keeps much critical distance from the'hegemonic masculinity'model highly favoured by most patriarchal societies and therefore has much profundity in cultural critique.In the novel,identifying with the model of'hegemonic masculinity,'Lee Gordon,the hero,cannot treat his wife Ruth with respect and love,but reduces his wife to the object of suppression and domination,thus making his marriage and career fall into a predicament,and letting himself live in fear,emptiness,and loneliness.Taking the'Three-Fold Model of the Structure of Gender'advanced by R.W.Connell as the frame of reference,this paper aims to reveal the ideological,cultural,and social root causes of the hegemonic masculinity model which Lee Gordon draws from power relationships,gender divisions of labour,and sexual relationships,and then to disclose the misdirection and harm done by patriarchy and gender role concept during Gordon′s cognition and practice of manhood.
