摘　　要：世界历史是一门既年轻而又实用性很强的学科,它与时代发展息息相关。如何搞好世界历史的教学与研究,同时又理论联系实际,密切关注当代社会文化发展,是从事该学科教学与研究者必须解决的现实问题。依据"世界现代史与当代社会文化发展"学术研讨会提供的论文,就各专家学者围绕"世界现代史教学与研究""世界现代史与当代社会发展""世界现代史与当代文化发展"等问题讨论的观点进行归纳和总结,对扩大学科影响力,促进横向学术交流,拓展史学教育功能具有重要意义。The world history is both a young and highly practical discipline closely linked with the development of the times. It is a real question how the teachers and researchers can do well in the teaching and research of the world history, and meanwhile link theories with practice, and pay close attention to the development of contemporary society and culture. In the light of the papers provided by the conference on ＂the modem world history and the development of contemporary society and culture＂, the author summarizes the experts＇ and scholars＇ views on the topics of ＂teaching and research of the modem world history ＂, ＂the modem world history and the development of contemporary society＂, ＂the modem world history and the development of contemporary culture＂, and so on, in order to expand the influence of the discipline of the world history and promote the horizontal academic exchange .
