摘　　要：坚守共产党人的政治灵魂和精神追求是党的十八大对全党提出的要求,是新的时代条件下全面提高党的建设科学化水平、保持党的先进性和纯洁性的重要前提和根本保证。坚守共产党人政治灵魂和精神追求的首要条件是从理论的高度把握马克思主义信仰、社会主义和共产主义信念的科学内涵与精神实质,理清时代新发展给共产党人政治灵魂和精神追求带来的新形势和新情况,将政治灵魂和精神追求寓于共产党人理想信念的价值体系,体现于党的建设和中国特色社会主义建设伟大实践,从构建长效机制的战略高度研究和制定加强党的思想理论建设总体布局和制度约束。Sticking to the political soul and spiritual pursuit of communists is the requirement for the whole communist party members, which is raised at the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of Chi- na. It is also an important prerequisite and fundamental guarantee for promoting the scientific level of the construction of the party comprehensively and maintaining the advanced nature and purity of the party in the new era. The prime condition of sticking to the political soul and spiritual pursuit of communists is to grasp the Marxist faith, the scientific connotation and spiritual essence of the socialism and communistic belief at the level of theories, and to clearly realize the new situation for the communist political soul and spiritual pursuit brought by the new development of this period. And contemporaneously, the political soul and spiritual pursuit need to be embodied in the value system of the communist ideal faith, and reflec- ted in the party construction and the great practice of socialist construction with Chinese characteristics. The integral layout and institutions for strengthening the ideological theory construction should be drawn up from a strategic altitude of building a long-term mechanism.
