功能认知视域下的元话语意义和功能探析

摘　　要：元话语在定义、界定原则、分类模式、功能界限和研究地位等方面一直存在争议。从功能认知视角分析,部分元话语带有命题因素,在行使语篇或人际功能的同时,也表达一定的概念意义。同时,人际和语篇功能无重叠问题,因前者是外在功能,而后者是内在功能,不在同一层面。由此,其研究地位应当有所提升,元话语不是外加的辅助工具,而是话语在特定语境约束下的内在需求。Issues about the definition, defining principle, classification pattern, functional boundary and status of metadiscourse have always been controversial over the past decades. From the cognitive-functional perspective, it is concluded that some metadiscourse markers perform ideational function together with interpersonal and textual functions. Meanwhile,there is no overlap between interpersonal and textual functions in that the former is external and the latter is internal,therefore, they are not on the same level. Thus, it is suggested that the status of metadiscourse should be reconsidered. Metadiscourse is not additional devices to enhance textual effect, but the internal need of discourses restricted to a particular context.
