摘　　要：田园是一种历史悠久的诗意生活方式,表现形式多种多样,包括诗歌、小说、戏剧等。在英国文学史中,田园书写歌颂传统牧羊人简单纯朴的生活方式,表达人们对田园牧歌式生活的向往与追求。文艺复兴时期以来,英国田园文学逐渐发展起来,传统田园书写的范围不断扩大,理性主义和现实主义不断融入其中。近现代的环境伦理也影响了田园创作,给田园文学注入了新的生机和活力。虽然在不同历史阶段,田园书写存在方式有所不同,但其所承载的生活理想不断得到人们的认可,这也是为什么田园文学传统得以传承发展下去的根本原因。The pastoral is a kind of poetic lifestyle with long history. Normally it is represented in poems, novels, plays and so on. In British literature, pastoral writing thinks highly of shepherds＇simple innocent lifestyles, which can be used to express peo- ple＇s expectation for and pursuit of pastoral life. Since the Renaissance, the British pastoral literature develops gradually. The pastoral tradition mixes together with rationalism and realism and in modem time environmental ethics also influences the pastoral writing, which brings a new life to the pastoral literature. Although the modes of pastoral writing vary in different historical peri- ods, the ideal lives in these pastoral writings are very attractive and people develop and enrich these writings continuously. Actu- ally there is a close relationship between pastoral writing and human nature, which is also the basic reason for the inheritance and development of pastoral literature.
