摘　　要：Lacquer,a natural substance obtained from the lacquer tree,is widely used as the envi ronmentally friendly paint,adhesive,forming agent,pigment and dye.As China is home to the world’s most and best lacquer trees,the lacquer art has been developing in China uninterruptedly for over 8,000 years.Chinese lacquer art enjoyed rapid development in two periods.One is the Warring Period(770-256BC),the Qin(221-206 BC)and HanLacquer, a natural substance obtained from the lacquer tree, is widely used as the environmentally friendly paint, adhesive,forming agent, pigment and dye. As China is home to the world＇s most and best lacquer trees, the lacquer art has been developing in China uninterruptedly for over 8,000 years.
