摘　　要：史诗是一个民族对自己幼年时期的集体记忆,服饰是保存民族历史文化的重要活化石。《格萨尔王传》中的服饰文化为研究古代藏族社会的各个方面提供了宝贵信息。史诗中记载的大量关于服饰习俗、制度及特征的描写不仅生动地为我们呈现了史诗所反映的社会的生产生活风貌,并为我们考定史诗产生、形成和发展的几个历史阶段的时间和特点也具有重要的参考价值。结合藏族社会发展的史实,我们可以初步推测和证实《格萨尔王传》的产生是在古代藏族氏族社会开始瓦解、奴隶制国家政权逐渐形成的历史时期,即公元前二三百年至吐蕃政权开始之前,且藏区从古至今一直存在着一个"格萨尔文化圈"。An Epic is the collective memory of a nation in their own childhood,while clothing is the important living fossils of a nation＇s history and culture. The clothing culture in Epic of ,King Gesar provides valuable information on various aspects of the ancient Tibetan society. The Epic records numerous descriptions of clothing custom,system and characteristics which are not only reflected the life style of ancient Tibetan, but also provides the important reference value of the appearance,formation and development of the Epic. Combining the historical materials of Tibetan society,we can speculate and confirm the formation time of Epic of King Gesar was during the ancient Tibetan clan started to collapse and the state power gradually formed. That is,two or three hundred years BC and before Tubo Dynasty was erected.
