摘　　要：随着新体育馆的设计建成，城市规划师抓住机会，重新定义了位于巴黎东部的谢菜市中心广场。规划师将L形建筑插入市政厅、中学和教堂（已被改造成艺术中心）之间，从而赋予这一大型广场新的空间定义，并缩小了广场面积，缩小后的尺度令人愉悦。建筑三面镶嵌玻璃，确保了体育馆充足的透明度和高大感。为了确保良好的空间功能，建筑师将不透明板材放置在窗中梃之间，在内表面上，这些不透明板材构件覆盖在狭窄的玻璃条上。With their design for a new sports hall, the planners seized the opportunity to reconfigure the square in the centre of Chelles, a city east of Paris. They inserted the L-shaped building massing between the city hall, secondary school and a church （that has been converted into an art centre） in a manner that gives the large square new spatial definition and reduces its dimensions to a pleasant scale. The three-sided glazing affords the gym the desired transparency and loftiness.
