摘　　要：指出了Tamarix植物以其优良的形态特征、枝条柔软细长、春夏二季花期,极赋观赏价值。因生活在较恶劣的生境中,具有抗旱、抗寒、抗盐碱、耐水湿等特性,在西北干旱缺水的条件下,要提高绿化覆盖率,同时又要形成特色的植物景观,在植物的选择上,具有战略上的意义。通过对乡土植物的筛选,发现了Tamarix植物在育苗、造林方面具有很大的优势。同时,对形成特色的植物景观,具有其他木本植物不可比拟的优势,开展了Tamarix植物技术应用推广项目的研究,收到了明显的生态效益和社会效益,为此,将该技术向相关类拟地区推广,为植物造景提供借鉴。Tamarix has high ornamental valuesbecauseofitsgoodmorphological characteristics ,soft and slender branches ,and two flower seasons-spring and summer .Besides ,It has the features of drought resistance ,cold resistance ,saline-alkali resistanceand wetland resistant .Therefore ,it can be used for afforestation in the ar-idregion in northwest .Based on this ,Urumqi Bureau of Parks and Woods has set up thepromotion projectsof Tamarix plant technology ,and hasreceived significant ecologicaland social benefits .This studyaims toprovide references forplant landscape andpopularize thistechnology to othersimilarregions .
