摘　　要：牡丹(Paeonia suffruticosa)花期较短已成为制约其产业发展的主要因素,有关牡丹鲜(切)花衰老和花期调控的研究日益成为关注的焦点。总结了近年来牡丹衰老生理和花期调控的研究进展,展望了利用现代基因工程技术创新种质,从而培育长花期品种的应用前景。The short florescence and the rapid senescence of Paeonia suffruticosa have already significantly restricted its development. Therefore, many researchers focus their studies on the florescence prolonging and the senescence control. The advances in senescence physiology and florescence control in Paeonia suffruticosa are reviewed in detail for the past 20 years in this paper. The application of genetic engineering in Paeonia suffruticosa is also presented.
