Retraction increases with the rapid increase of publication of biomedical research outcomes. This article analyzed the retraction information of papers published by Chinese authors in PubMed, and the results showed that 1 ) The peak of retraction from Chinese authors appeared after 2005, which is consistent with the increase of research outcomes of Biomedicine. The average time of retraction is 16.55 months, and 58.9% retraction was performed by journals with impact factor of 1 -3. 2) Duplicate publication or plagiarism is the most common reason for retraction, accounting for 40% , followed by scientific error ( 15% ) and Copyright problem (8%). 3) There isnt difference among impact factors of journals performing retraction because of error, duplicate publication/ plagiarism and fraud/suspected fraud (P 〉 0.05 ). 4) The rate of retraction note without detailed information is significant higher in journals, which isnt included by Science Citation Index, than those in SCI database. Retraction is a correction for scientific misconduct, evidences of anomie behavior model of Chinese authors and attitude of editorial department of scientific journals were proved from the retraction analysis to help to establish coping strategy and purify scientific publication.
