摘　　要：国外学术界对海登·怀特的研究主要有两种情况:一是对他的《元史学》、《话语的转义》、《比喻现实主义》等代表性著作的书评,其中又以对《元史学》的评论最为丰富,论争也最为激烈;二是对怀特的代表性观点进行的论争。对于怀特的批评,主要有三种代表性的立场,这些不同立场有助于我们在一种论辩的视野下更全面地分析和评价怀特的理论观点。There are two major types in foreign academia＇ s study of Hayden White. Firstly, there are numerous scholars who have studied and commented on Hayden White＇ s representative books such as Metahistory ： The Historical Imagination in Nineteenth-Century Europe, Tropics of Discourse： Essays in Cultural Criticism, and Figural Realism： Studies in the Mimesis Effect. Among them, Metahistory gets most comments. Secondly, scholars have raised many arguments, and the different standpoints will be helpful for us to analyze and evaluate the main ideas of Hayden White＇ s theory.
