论戈公振与上海《时报》“专刊”

摘　　要：从1919年开始,作为旧上海三大报之一的《时报》,先后创办了"教育""妇女""儿童""实业""图画"等多种周刊,这是我国最早创办系列专题周刊的报纸,在整个报界具有里程碑意义。知名报人、新闻史学家戈公振正是创办"专刊"的直接推动者。他不仅擘画各专刊的创办、发展,还亲任《图画周刊》的主编。戈公振认为风靡一时的报纸专刊只是为形势所迫,虽代替了杂志的部分功能,但其自身有不可化解的内在矛盾;理想的报纸专刊应以文艺为基础,贴近读者的常识与日常生活。Abstract ： As one of the three major newspapers in the old Shanghai, Eastern Times established Education Sup- plement, Women Supplement, Children Supplement, Industry Supplement, and Photo supplement successively since 1919. Eastern Times had become the first newspaper setting up featured weekly supplement,which was a milestone both in Eastern Times and the entire press at that time. Studies found that Ge Gongzhen, the well - known journalist, is the direct promoter. He had worked as the editor - in - chief of Photo Supplement and invited newspaper col- leagues to edit all sorts of supplements. In Ge＇ s opinion, the popular supplement took the place of the magazines, which was limited by the objective circumstances. And the supplement was born with inner contradictions. His ideal supplement should be based on literature and art, and be relevant to readers＇ daily life and next to the common sense.
