Objective To explore application effect of the process management in the prevention of falls in patients with orthopedic. Methods There were 1850 patients from April 2011 to March 2012 admitted to the control group, used the traditional fall management program, 1910 patients from April 2012 to March 2013 admitted to the observa- tion group ,the used of fall prevention assessment monitoring process for fall management, process management includ- ed the establishment of fall prevention management team, screening high-risk patients fall to develop effective mea- sures to prevent falls and falls processes, etc., compared two groups of patients the incidence of falls. Results In the control group, the incidence of falls by 1.405%(26/1850),the patient satisfaction was 89.8%;implementing fall pre- vention management processes, the observation group, the incidence of falls by 0.104% (2/1910),the patient satisfac- tion was 98.1%;The incidence rate of falls in observation group was significantly lower than the control group (P〈 0.01 ).Fall injury in experimental group was significantly lower than the control group (P〈0.01). Conclusion Process management to orthopedic patients can reduce the incidence of falls, and effectively prevent patient falls, and improve patient satisfaction.
