Stream of consciousness is one of the most important schools of literature in the modernism of the 20 century' s west. The British writer Virginia Woolf is one of the typical representatives. "Mrs. Dalloway", her mountain-peak work, is the mature symbol of stream-of-consciousness novel style. In the novel, through shifting in time and space, she goes deep into the self' s inner world, and boldly experiments with stream of consciousness technique to show the flow of the character stream of consciousness. The novel not only describes what the heroine saw, heard and felt in the 12 hours in the middle of June in 1923, but also expresses her past memories and future prospects by tracing her decades of experience from 18 to 52 by association. Through interpreting Virginia Woolf' s stream-of-consciousness novel--Mrs. Dalloway, this article analyzes how the author has realized the mobile description, specifically analyzes Woolf' s writing techniques of stream of consciousness, and discusses her distinctive quality different from other stream of consciousness writer.
