摘　　要：从建成环境符号景观的视角讨论了城市化和全球化过程中我国城市象征空间研究的现实背景、研究内容与研究重点,指出应该加强城市象征空间的地理分异与认知、象征空间演变的影响因素及演变规律,以及象征空间对城市居民及游客的环境感知评价、空间行为和地方感的影响及其作用机制研究,从而明确象征空间在城市地方建构中的作用。This essay discusses the realistic background and contents of symbolic urban space research in the process of urbanization and globalization from the perspective of symbolic landscape of built environment, points out that geographic differentiation and cognition of symbolic urban space, factors and regularity of symbolic urban space evolution, and the impact of symbolic urban space on urban residents＇ and tourists＇ environmental perception and valuation, spatial behavior, sense of place and their mechanism should be focused on to discover the role of symbolic space in the process of urban place making.
