摘　　要：手机短信是一种新兴的以人际传播为主的传播方式。从形态上讲,它是一种社会文化现象,也是一种语言现象。短信以其简短、快捷、价廉和安全等优势得到广泛大学生的青睐,其本身的蓬勃发展也正促使短信成为一种新的文学形式。短信虽然是平民文学,却代表了当代大学生文化的某些内涵与价值认同。因此,本项目对大学生的短信语言特点进行分析,以加强人们对短信的了解和更加有效的利用。Short Message Service （SMS） is a brand-new mode of transmission mainly used in interpersonal communication. Mor- phologically, it is a kind of society cuhural phenomenon as well as language phenomenon. SMS is widely favored by university students with its short, speediness, bargain price and safety, let alone its other advantages. Meanwhile, the booming of SMS is making itself a new form of literature. Though being a civilian lit- erature, SMS stands for some of the contemporary university stu- dents＇ cultural connotation and value identification. Therefore, this project is based on analysis of the traits of SMS language of university students and aims to strengthen people＇s understanding of text messages so as to enable people to make use of it more ef- ficiently.
